About Us

Our mission is rooted in compassion and community partnership. We help individuals and families identify and access trusted local resources, working together with existing organizations to meet real needs with dignity and care.

Who we are

Havasu Hope is a community-based, Christian-rooted organization dedicated to providing clothing, food, and essential assistance at no cost to those in need. We offer a welcoming, judgment-free environment where individuals and families can find both practical support and compassionate guidance. We serve people from all walks of life, including those experiencing financial hardship or homelessness, foster children and their families, students facing bullying, veterans, senior citizens, and survivors of domestic violence. Our goal is to offer hope, dignity, and support before challenges grow into long-term hardship.

Keeping Hope Alive

Our Vision & Mission

Our mission is to provide hope and practical assistance to individuals and families in need while connecting them to trusted community resources that promote stability, dignity, and long-term support.

Our Beginnings

The Clothes Closet began as a Christian-based outreach with a simple mission: to provide clothing to those in need while offering compassion, dignity, and hope. The organization first operated out of ten units at McCulloch Mini Storage and officially became a nonprofit organization in 2014. As the need grew, a larger storage space was generously provided by Brad Meahl, allowing the organization to expand its reach. Through collaboration with other local organizations, The Clothes Closet was able to serve more individuals and families throughout Lake Havasu City. What began as a small, faith-driven effort continued to grow as community needs became more visible. Over time, the organization expanded beyond clothing assistance to include community events and partnerships designed to support individuals and families in meaningful ways. As those needs evolved, so did the mission — leading to stronger collaboration with local organizations and a broader impact across the community. Today, that same heart for service continues through Havasu Hope, building on a strong foundation of faith, generosity, and community involvement.

How We Serve the Community

We believe the most effective support comes through collaboration. Havasu Hope works closely with local schools, churches, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations to ensure individuals and families receive the help they need when they need it. In addition to resource guidance and essential clothing, The Clothes Closet provides practical, life-sustaining support for those experiencing homelessness, including a cooling station during the extreme summer months, access to showers, and on-site washing machines and dryers. We also offer basic necessities such as snacks and bottled water to help meet immediate needs. By connecting individuals to appropriate resources and providing essential services at no cost, we strive to strengthen our community and offer encouragement during life’s most challenging moments.
